UPDATED:Ā September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill andĀ I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008.Ā We share aĀ loveĀ for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting toĀ share photographic excursions and informationĀ withĀ other Renderositians ( isĀ "Renderositians" evenĀ a word? ).Ā LOL
Ā
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) cameraĀ until May 2008.Ā InĀ May 2009Ā I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
Ā
My subject areas of interestĀ include absolutely everything but with a frequentĀ return toĀ airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
Ā
If you are curious,Ā I am pictured aboveĀ in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport.Ā IĀ used to flyĀ and train others to fly airplanes.Ā ThatĀ will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation.Ā Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Ā
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

OH, I think Art has a crush on Tara--look at how he looks at HER!! Great shot, Bill, we don't often get to see Tara and this is Tara to a "T", (and how good of her to have name that worked so well right there!!)

Nice, effective and balanced flash shot of the photographer and photographee, Bill. So, that's how Tara looks. I had never seen her full sized. And the charmer docent looks in great shape and loyally dedicated to the daily task at hand.

Nice way to share a great day out and more so with such a great character! I look forward perhaps, to the day when one is able to charm without being considered a terrible flirt.. Seems difficult these days in the ever increasing PC views..

Great lighting in this lovely capture, and you look to have had a great day.

I love this shot...it's warm and giddy at the same time, and that's the way life should actually be! I love the expressions; I can tell everyone was having fun, even the plane in the background with the garish shark teeth is grinning...it's an upside down snarling grin but a grin nonetheless! Planes always try to look so fearsome! Great color and this is the kind of picture that reminds me of why I like people so much--well, the non-icky people. I wouldn't dare point a 10 meter cattle prod at the icky ones, let alone my camera: why immortalize them after all. So in short, this is a fun and fantastic shot! Tara is wearing that grin I've grown accustomed to...it's so gleeful and open and warm...and Art looks like quite the charmer and spinner of amazing tales; I'd love to just sit down and have a beer with him and just let him recount the numerous adventures he's surely had. Maybe he and I could recount tales of German beer and even debate whether German Pils is actually a true Pilsner; Czechs don't think so unless they're intentionally being diplomatic and then they say "yeah, yeah, pils and pilsner are the same," and then when they think you're not looking, they smirk as if to say "yeah right!" Funny...great photos always make me think of beer. I wonder why?

Great idea!! Neat shot

Super shot of Tara and Art. Can't wait to check that place on my next trip to the west coast. All these guys are true heroes for sure. I was touring a B-17 in Boca Raton, Florida on January 22nd. My guideās name was Ross. He only let me photograph his hat and T-shirt. He started out flying P-40 Flying Tigers and then B-17s. He flew 140 missions in total. Sat on the floor and just listened for hours. Wheelchair bound but sharp as a tack. Dana

Great shot of two real fine people. Gotta respect the guys and gals of the greatest generation for all they did to keep us free! Love the background, too!

This is a really a cool shot...having Tara in action...a very proud man for sure...My late husband has a Uncle who served in World War II and is almost 90, he tells great stories and he was a prisoner of war for a length of time.
