... but not quite in control either. My most recent steampunk (or Vernian) image (http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2011693) had a lot of detailed, unrelated elements. There was a cat on a window sill, observing another cat (my own cat Zoë). That cat was interacting with the girl in white. (There’s another cat, a hard-to-see Siamese, on a high balcony observing the whole scene.) A couple strolls along the canal, engaged in conversation. Two steam powered boats are about to pass in the canal, their pilots attentive to avoiding a collision. In the background a couple on the bridge is looking at a distant figure in an improbable flying machine. That was the original image.
For this image I’ve moved time along a bit and now the flying machine, *arcebus’s edgey Steam Copter piloted by ElementAir, has flown into the heart of the scene and now has everyone’s attention, including that gentleman on the far balcony.
Like the earlier image, posed and layer-rendered in Poser, composited in CorelPaint, and post-processed in Photoshop with AdamWright’s ToonIt Toon Action.
