I am Native American (Blackfeet, Cree, Choctaw and Cherokee). I've been an amateur photographer since I was 10 when my dad bought me my first camera, a German Zeiss Ikon 35mm. I take pictures of pretty much anything and everything that catches my eye. I don't use any high end photo editing software. I use Picasa and occasionally web based photo editing sites. I do the best I can with what I have. I usually just let my photos speak for themselves. I ride motorcycles with my soulmate of over 40 years and take pictures "on the fly" from the passenger seat. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of Renderosity.

Blue smoke indeed. I can not discern if there are six or seven hills. How delightful to remain in doubt. Beautiful.

There are more than 6 or 7....this is the Smoky Mountains...the home of my ancestors and home to my heart.

A wonderful, unusual view of the Smokies. I am firmly connected to all these mountains, and miss them very much. The place my heart is, is farther south, between the Ocoee River and the Georgia state line. Our ancestors considered that area, extending into N.C., a sacred place. They would travel through it, hunt and camp there, but they didn't establish villages there. I lived there for twenty years, and I understand why; it is a place of power, and too much is not a good thing.

My father's family is Cherokee and Choctaw, my mother's family Blackfeet and Choctaw. Growing up we would travel to the mountains every summer and sometimes later in the fall. We go now and stop at Nanyehi's grave on the way.
