Description
A raucous Caw-Caw-Caw-Caw!
Long distance shot captured back on 6/13/06, early AM, within walking distance of my humble haunt. The bird was way up high on a light stanchion.
Check it out full size.
Whereas many of the RR members have a whole host of colorful and esoteric birds in their locale to photograph, I'm limited to crows, pigeons, some sparrows, and an occasional seagull.
Adieu, and thankx for stopping by.

Maybe that's the "Watch out below" warning. I hear that a lot here, we have crows upon crows upon crows, whole hosts of them! They're hard to capture, being so dark. Nice work getting all his hunched up wings and fierce glare!

I've never gotten a good shot of a Crow. Pretty hard when they are flying over. Pretty good one here, especially for a zoom shot.

When I see a crow, it reminds of "The Walking Dude" a character in the Stephen King novel "The Stand". Good shot Harry :)

Harry this is a fabulous shot, I get them round my home a lot and I do live next door to 2 Chapels, but they do seem to love being around churches, chapels, graveyards and the like! hugs Jane xx

A big boy for sure. I, for one, am glad to see what you do have flying around your house:) Can you capture the other types that frequent your neighborhood? A fine pic of a very large crow!

But he's a loud crow with a earsplitting call. That makes all the difference! Excellent capture of his Caw-Caw-Cawing!

Boy can I identify with this! We are surrounded by hundreds of crows and Ravens here. Some days the noise can be heard from miles away as they make their way into the city. I wonder what story he was trying to tell you. As a Native American totem, Crow is a omen of Change. Crow lives in the void and has no sense of time, therefore, it sees past, present and future simultaneously. Crow merges both light and dark, both inner and outer. It is the totem of the Great Spirit and must be respected as such.Crow and Raven are the same family with Raven being much larger in size. I have three Ravens that visit my yard daily and its fun to watch them. Crow/Raven is a strong totem, always present in my life. Thank you for this great capture of him!
