Amber I by PSDuck

These insects are in a ball of amber. The age of the amber is undetermined.
The photograph was taken using direct daylight. No postwork.
If you wish, use the photo as wallpaper. The warm amber colors are quite pleasing.
Thanks for stopping by and looking, and for any comments you should leave. A big thanks to all who have favorited my postings!

I always remember Amber from high school. She was a little bit buggy too, but that's a different story. Very cool capture!

I have always enjoyed amber. It really is one of those things from the past that holds the past so YOU can hold the past. :-) Very lovely and probing shot.

Oh Allen, I love the detail that can be so clearly seen in this! The insects show up much better. I still can't determine what they are. For some reason they make me think of mosquitos and flies. Perhaps a hybrid? Once again, I love the lighting. How large is this amber ball, if you don't mind my asking? I think this too is a wonderful photo.

From the thumb, I thought it must be a fractal...still seems so....very lovely abstract forms surrounding the imbedded critter. Beautiful shaded. Love it.
