Description

Found a whole bunch of PSP tutorials on youtube, and one of them showed how to turn a photo into a line drawing. So of course every photo in my files is danger of being turned into a line drawing now! This method uses layers and black and white and negatives and gaussian blurs and it's fun to play with. So after much tweaking, this what I did to poor Murphy. I cut him out of the photo and tweaked some more and layered him over a flame from FracFx's Fractured Galaxies script. That script can be found at DA in fractal resources. I've had the moth brush for so long I don't remember where it came from. It was all done in Paint Shop Pro X2, expcept the flame which is Apo. Thank you all for stopping to see the previous post. If you go to the memorial page here at rendo, you can find a memorial to Valerie Ducom http://www.renderosity.com/news.php?viewStory=14066 at the bottom of the page is a video which shows some of her photos. It's not like seeing them in her gallery, but this seems to be all that's left her photography on line. I don't know if she had another web site. You all left such wonderful comments, some of you knew Valerie, I wish you had all seen her work.

This is amazing! I love the effect you did. Excellent fractal and framing. And Murphy is adorable even in black and white. I like the texturing of the fur here. The butterfly is a nice touch. Thanks for the link, too.

I'm having a little chuckle over this image. I bet you haven't shown it to Murphy when he looks so cute and cuddly, when he thinks he's a big brave little dog and fearless. I think you have done a super job of this scene as it sounds to have been a lot of work getting that line effect and it does make a great finish.
