Description
While shoot yesterday, the weather suddenly darkened and became threatening when, suddenly, a ray of sun illuminated a small area in the mountains. In the area illuminated by the sun we see the Church of St. Lucia of Montigiano that some of you have already been able to see the time of the first snowfall.
Photo taken freehand with Canon EF 70-300 IS USM with 1.4x focal length doubler.
The church of Saint Lucia to Montigiano is located in a fraction of Massarosa, in the province of Lucca.
The church, located on the top side of a hill, is mentioned for the first time in 984, as a tributary of the tithes to the nearby parish of Propeller. In 1260 it is again mentioned in the list of churches Lucchesi.
In 1687 was erected as a parish church and rebuilt. A new, radical restructuring took place in the nineteenth century. In the early years of the twentieth century was decorated with frescoes in Liberty style.
Good day and good weekend
