Description

Its about 2 1/2 miles from the parking lot to the base of this Pali (hill). For a while, the lava was at a pause. The lava is now working its way down and burning up some grounds. There is one house left on this little patch of green, Jack Thompson's home and the lava is in his back yard again. You can't see his house because of all the smoke but its up there. Pictures were taken on Wednesday. Aloha and thank you for viewing

I can't imagine how Jack must feel. This is great. The ground looks very fragile.

Poor Jack! Perhaps the volcano will eventually compensate him with more land. You are brave to get that close. Great shot.

Sweet capture! The rocks in foreground are awesome, I'll bet you could find some killer abstract shots. Definitely something to see, a mountain smoking. Nicely done boss!
