Born in Hilo, Hawaii and class of '66, I became very active in Barbells, Judo and love striking the heavy/speed bag. I've learned to Rollerblade and bike ride which is a very health sport. But time doesn't stop for anyone including for me. So my good friend Dave aka punaguy got me started in taking pictures. I'm having fun taking pictures especially hiking the mountains. I'm enjoying seeing the world thru your post on Renderosity. Mahalo and Aloha....Errol

Wow,it looks as though he's standing right over some lava--this is a very graphic shot of what really goes on around there. 3 miles away doesn't sound too safe!!

He and you are both drawn like a moth to the flame, and we all get to see too!

OMG! I had to do a double take... I had to zoom... I had to reach up and shut my mouth! He's out there in that cracking, collapsing, steaming lava! This is so very exciting! My heart pounds at the possibilities and I can only say he must have a world of knowledge about this situation to be so confident about where he goes.

wow that a big lava bed.

What a shame the trees are being devoured. That photographer must have tough fireproof soles on his boots.

Oh, those poor, lovely trees! Your friend looks so small, as if the whole could just crush him in an instant with one small burp. Great shot. It certainly evokes emotion from us all. Thanks for the view.
