Description

Some of you may know that I've begun a journey to lose weight via surgery. This was a decsion not made lightly. In fact took me 7 years to decide that this was the only way I would lose the weight I needed to lose to be healthy. I've since joined several weight loss forums and met some wonderful people. One of them is Melinda. She had the surgery and had hit her goal weight and is keeping it off. She asked me if I would create an image for her. Below is her vision. I've since shared this image with her and she was pleased. I would like for you to read her vision so that the image will make sense to you. My idea actually comes from a vision I had a few years ago. I was in bible college, and while praying in the chapel one day, I saw this: it was a black room, and a lady was sitting on her rear end, her knees up to her face, and she had shackles on her wrists, and ankles and around her neck. She was in a dark place. But then, I saw this: it was another picture of the same lady. She was standing with her arms straight up to heaven, with a shaft of light coming from her, or coming down on her, you couldn't tell which... and she had a smile on her face. There were no shackles on her. She was free. I think that symbolized me in alot of ways. I was once that prisoner, and now, I feel free.... I couldn't get the beams to look right, she agreed the image was better without them.

Hang in there dear and by all means do what you have to do to be healthy. But please be assured there are plenty of people who appreciate you just as you are - at whatever weight you are.
