Description

He came to her door with his carefully purchased Valentines gift wrapped in pretty paper, then rang the bell and waited. She had taken most of the afternoon to get ready for their date. She hoped this would be the night he would propose to her. Hearing the bell she rushed down the steps stopping just short of the door to smooth her dress and check her make up in the mirror. Opening the door a sweet smile was given to him as she invited him in. He was grinning from ear to ear as he handed her the flowers and the carefully wrapped package. She put the flowers in a vase and then opened the gift. That’s when it went all wrong. Looking at the box she laughed to herself thinking, he must have put the ring box inside the contact solution box. Opening it with trembling fingers and smiling up at him as she fumbled trying to pry open the lid open. Her eyes trailed down to the contents, confusion coming over her features then anger. Pulling the bottle out of the box, she held it up to him before she threw at him. Contact Solution? Seriously!?! I don’t even wear contacts!!! Lesson always make sure you fit the gift to the occasion.
