Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Well written! I know the feeling ... it's been a while, but I certainly remember! Excellent work.

Beautiful writing Marilyn! I sure know how you feel! Has been snowing all day here, a good 3" so far and much more expected. I wanted to take some pictures today but to cold and just as your poem says, everything is bleak and gray and the same old stuff...Lol! I definitely have cabin fever!

Hmmm - I know the feeling all too well! Hang in there my friend - there is always light again after the darkness! :))

Oh, I know that feeling so well! I feel a bit of a block here in Chicago. There's nothing that grabs me that much, despite posts I've been making. I think the block is a cloud-induced thing. Or maybe it's a case of the Winter Blahs...at any rate, it is a bad feeling and I'm glad that I have the photo-urge (and the writing urge) again. This is a great piece of writing! I missed it before and I don't know how...brain fart, I suppose. I have those quite often...in fact, I'm surprised when I don't have them.
