Description

Richardphotos was driveing away fron Sunset Crader to flagstaff here. I shot it thought the windshild. I live in a land of flat land as far as the eye can see and you can drive for hours and find no hills even. So I am looking at these mountians in wonder and awl. I also never saw ground black from a valcano also. I will post that soon too but you see a hint of it in the zoom in of the photo I posted yeaterday. Forgive me for posting these for I know many live in the mountians and tried of looking at mountians. I will get to my swamps soon for I did not have a change to go anywheres at all cent moveing here. thanks for coments and looking and favorites

I never get tired of the mountains and the evergreen trees. I have been to flagstaff Many times going from Tucson to Boulder Colorado, up highway 25 and this is one of the finest places for mountains in Arizona as most of the rest is desert... Not that the desert does not have it's own beauty but after a few weeks of low land desert the mountains and greenry are a shock to the eys and very pleasant one at that... Flagstaff is not far from the Grand Canyon so I see why you got these pictures... Arizona is a place of extremes and has MANY natural sites of beauty. Every state has this and it is why I spent most of my youth traveling all over the USA.... This brings back memories of my youth and as suck never becomes tiring or boring to me.. I have yet to see one of your photos I found boring.. They all have a quality brought on by your enthusiasm for taking pictures and your love of the things you are taking pictures of... It comes through in you photos how much you love doing this... it is a good thing to see a person with a gift doing something they love doing and is inspiring to the rest of us as well.. Keep them coming my friend, no matter what the subject is.. gene ... OH YEAH by the way, a high ranking of 5++ as well... hehehe

I like mountains, I'd have to dive up into Georgia to see them. Here it's all hills and what is lowest is lakes and swamps. A lot of lakes and swamps! Wonderful capture of these marvelous mountains!

Stellar capture of the clear sharp tree foreground against the somewhat faded and misty mountains, Jock. In that light and haze, the range of mountains look like cardboard cutouts in the distance.
