Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Wow! I can see why you liked this place. I can easily image just sitting therre watching the water and feeling the breezes in the afternoon. Of course a Margarita wouldn't hurt, either.

Heck, I'd stay there too...probably a bit longer than is healthy, but oh well...what's the point of relaxing if you can't do lots of it!? I really love the composition here, the view through the hammock is inspired and the colors pop with life and warmth...ah...warmth...there's something Chicago needs. But when summer comes we'll have heat, not warmth...Chicago has only one season, Winter with a hot spell. I really like this. A LOT!

A siesta, followed by a fiesta, I presume. Vivid colors, and stellar light and shadow effects in this stunner, M! I hate to toss cold water on this lovely image, but is that chicken wire that I'm peering out through in viewing the beautiful Pacific Ocean?

Oh yes! I have my eye on something like this for my summer relaxation in new hampshire. Dana
