Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

WOW! You get around! But as you say, road trips rock! I love this picture! I've always liked that vanishing-perspective thing and here you've got the perfect POV. It reminds me of what you'd probably see if you could actually be a comfortable hood ornament of a car speeding off into an adventure. There's a nicely cinematic quality to this too, like the opening shot of a movie involving cute people in various degrees of undress, while camping out and discovering inner strengths and a talent for discovering ancient ruins and solving a 500 year old mystery. I love it when images make my mind go off in directions like that. This rocks.

Deja vu? Great image!

See your sisters? Just how many sisters do you have? I thought they all lived down in the Huntington Beach area. Terrific perspective, and high contrast light and shadow in this shot, Marilyn. It's deja vu on your road trips; how many does this make over the last couple of years? Better check your tires. Have a safe and super time anyway.

WOW! I really like this! The POV is spot on like you're zooming off to some adventure that probably involves cute guys in swimming trunks (and nothing else) and some good food and nights out with friends. That's always a good thing. Happy travels, and keep taking winning shots like this one.
