Description
At your req Neil & jedi, I'm reposting the gunny as a before & after, you'll see in these four pictures the progression from the original image with no post work, to the final render achieved with 2 filters, overlays, blends with dodge & burn tools. To begin with I used three lights: 2 front lights & 1 backlight to get the right shadowing & highlights in my poser render, then I rendered the image at 2000 pixels & saved it as PNG better quality. I always use a large render, easier to manipulate. I opened PS to import the file then I duplicated the orig twice as layers & applied a Posterising filter & DiffuseGlow filter to the 2 layers individually playing with the settings to achieve the effect I wanted, these were then blended using screen or overlay blends on top of the original image. I also used Then using the burn & dodge tool through the different layers. Using the eraser I also allowed areas of the bottom layers through & achieved the final render. Once the final render was finished I then used the adjustment tools to enhance the the color. Hope this helps jedi, this isnt a step by step but it will aim you in the right direction for you to experimenting. Neil, well there is the orig render with no post work.
