Description

While wandering through the Mariposa Grove I came across this little clearing. I read somewhere that chipmunks eat the seeds from sequoia cones. This would explain the apparent delight of this little guy at the banquet laid out before him.

:-D Looks like he struck the 'mother lode'! He's a very independent fellow; neither a communist nor a capitalist. He does not appear interested in sharing his good fortune with the other 'munks .. nor is he inspired to gather all the cones up and open a roadside seed diner. He's just content with enjoying his heaven sent boon. ;-) You caught a great moment, Mark. T.
