Born in Hilo, Hawaii and class of '66, I became very active in Barbells, Judo and love striking the heavy/speed bag. I've learned to Rollerblade and bike ride which is a very health sport. But time doesn't stop for anyone including for me. So my good friend Dave aka punaguy got me started in taking pictures. I'm having fun taking pictures especially hiking the mountains. I'm enjoying seeing the world thru your post on Renderosity. Mahalo and Aloha....Errol

I still find it hard to believe that place isn't an inferno!

Very impressive. I have never witnessed buring lava "eating" a tree like this.

Praticamente un grande braciere ! Serve occhio e esperienza per sfuggire al pericolo. Veramente interessante ! Basically a big fire! Need eye and experience to escape the danger. Really interesting!

Quite scary to see, but grimly fascinating.

Hell with that, I'm not stepping in there! I wonder how long it will take to burn through the trunks of the wider trees, the burn lines are very distinct here. Excellent details!

Great picture, love the slow motion burn that flowing lava gives. Visited the Big Island when stationed at Pearl in the late 60's early 70's Mahalo and Aloha
