Description
The stuff that's over our heads -- a hub of nonstop activity.
But if it fails for any particular reason for an extended length of time, there's all heck to pay.
Captured 2/4/10, around 8:20 AM, about one quarter of a mile from my daunting dwelling.
For better detail a ZOOM is a must.
Ciao, and thankx for clicking on.

Cool captures!

True...awesome technology is, but for it to stop working for any reason or amount of time...all hell breaks loose. Gives us a little more respect for our ancestors who had nothing! :-) Cool capture.

Wow! Looks like a lot of traffic there!

At first...looking at the thumbs...I thought I was looking at tall masts. Funny how the mind does that. Very interesting collage Harry. I don't know why I am thinking of this but there were no wooden poles in Vietnam...electric wires were strung rather randomly on old concrete poles of French design and obviously dated back to colonial times. Concrete poles don't deterorate much in tropical weather.

Amazing all the wires heading all different directions. Still such an eyesore. I like the communities that bury the lines...so much neater.

Hmmmm....... Skillfully wired for you by Moe, Larry, and Curley. LOL! Looks like things have been added on here and there as an afterthought.

We don't have these as much in the U.K.. Ours are often underground.. Interesting views, of a hive of technology... Skillfully taken shots! Rob.

Yes, it seems to me that it's a matter of logic; lines should be underground, it's so much safer that way. Especially here in the Northwest, where there are so many trees that fall on the lines in windstorms. But no, we have lines of lines all crossing everywhere. Makes no sense. Thought-provoking collage!

It looks a bit random for a developed country! good pics though.

Looking at all that confusion, it seems amazing that it works at all. Or that anyone can figure out what is wrong when it doesn't. Of course it the wires are down due to ice, that's a pretty good clue. Excellent images! Wonderful detail and POV!
