Stunning! Beautiful! Elegant! This is one of those images that "sings." It does not sing with sound, but with a feeling. I love looking at it and exploring it. And find that I am trying to imagine what he is reading? Is it a book that he wrote? Maybe it is a book he loved when he was a very young man? WOW! There is so much. This is absolutely super work!

It has been too long, Ana, since I spent time browsing your gallery. I sat tonight, going from picture to picture, thinking, "Oh, I like that, but then again, maybe this one!" Then I came along your reader . . . He gave me such a smile that seemed to start way down inside and worked it's way out, tickling all my funny bones along the way. Of course, since he was a part 3, I had to go check out 2 and 1 (I was going in reverse order). They are magnificent, and know I will be back to comment on them at a later date. But tonight I want to talk about this gentleman who gave me such a deep smile. What i love about this scene is the way you have drawn the reader. Both he and his surroundings are very square. He makes me think of a thousand business men who sit in offices, behind glass and behind the image they project of an anonymous greyness. And yet, instead of sitting behind a desk, moving papers around and not being touched by anything, he is deeply enthralled in a book. You can see the excitement and connection he is experiencing by the way he is holding the book closer to him and leaning towards it, with a slight smile as he reads. I love the way his body language humanizes him and make him accessible in a way that his surroundings and suit do not. It gave me a smile deep down and reminded me of the wonderful varieties in people if you just look beyond the surface. I love this! Do you remember me saying I would love to have a room of art and there would be an ana section there? Well this would definitely be part of it, and I would smile each time I looked at it. This is so great!
