Description

At times, you had to just close your eyes and wait till all the smoke and ash clears away. Here is another area where lava is about to plunge thru the vegetation kicking up a storm of fire and smoke. That ball of fire sure looks eerie. Big Bird? Aloha and thank you for viewing.

I used to frequent your beautiful islands as a surfer when I was younger, and to me big Sunset was about the scariest thing I thought you guys had (other than Eddie Rothman!!!!)...apparently I was wrong. You live in an amazingly beautiful part of the world, and your great photographs do it justice.

It must be so warm as well. And you have to learn calculating the next move of the lava I'm sure...something for the experienced person and not just anyone who fancies a lava show.

This view is much more ominous and scary. Perhaps a phoenix. The foreground has already been ravaged by the lava.

Yes, I was also thinking of the Phoenix rising from the ashes! Keep your flame suit handy my friend, ha ha!

I knew I shouldn't have thrown that cigarette in the woods... Very erie shot, the smoke adds to that feeling. And the cooling lava in the foreground looks fantastic, lots of cool lines and cracks. Well done my man!
