Description
As I sit basking in the warmth
of the sunlight
at this very moment
I feel safer than I ever have before
wrapped in the comfort
of knowing how much you love me
my heart is free
but underneath all of this love
is the beast that haunts me
the creature that tells me
I am all alone
and no matter how hard I fight
or how good I feel
the great shadow
keeps after me
oppressing my spirit
my love don't let me slide back
to where I came from
hold my hand
never let me go
chase this shadow
away from my soul
