Description

Hello all, this is the court house where my marriage license is registered and I needed to go pick up some more copies to take back to Germany. It was built in 1881 with several restorations throughtout the years th last one beingin 1992 or there abouts. I love the old fedralist like achetechure. There are several building in the area that date back to the early 1900's, it's anice chance to see what a early american city may have looked like. The city of Franklin Indiana is a a very small city using the old court house as it's centerpeice they even have an old style theater. It is located off US31 and SR44 South of I65 if you ever are in the area you should go take a look. No this is not where I am at my parents live in Beech Grove which is on the south east corner of I465 with Indinapolis in the center. Well hope everyone here has a great weekend and talk to you Sunday night or Monday some time. thanks for looking and hope you enjoy. here is a link for the museum that is located very close to the court house that I also visited, if you are interested. www.johnsoncountymuseum.org take care Chris

Fantastic looking old style court house here Chris and I must say it puts the one in my small town to shame. Looks like a lot of care has went into keeping it up and I only wish more small towns would focus on their older building in such a way. I'll check out that museum link. Have a good one
