Description

Taken at Glensheen Mansion in Minnesota. I'll have another photo or two from there as I go through my files and see what I would like to share. My husband bought me Photoshop Elements 8 for Christmas.. We just put it on the computer. I don't know anything about the program as I have been using the Gimp. So I opened it up tonight, and did a little artistic filter effect on this Cosmo, just for fun. I hope you like it :) My previous upload, "All Roads Lead to Sturgis!". Thanks for looking, comments and faves. You give me encouragement to try new things and keep on working at developing skills. Prayers for Lynell, Tennesseecowgirl, as she had her surgery today. Have a great weekend, Hugs, ~Melinda~

Interesting focal and lighting effects in this cool postworked macro of the cosmo bloom, Melinda. And good luck with Photoshop Elements. You'll become quickly addicted to it.

The Gimp is fun, but I'm a photoshop guy...anyway, enough of that; I'm determined to make a comment and not ramble on and on about something that has nothing to do with photography per se! I love the intensity of this. The filter work you've done gives this a kind of odd ultraviolet feel that I really like. The colors are so brilliant, but not really oversaturated...they're just crisp and extremely palpable, if that makes sense. This is a really wonderful piece of work.
