Description

One of the unique architectural wonders of known space, the cities of the Sigmari species are built into the ceilings and walls of massive coastal caverns. The only entrances are well-guarded tunnels through the intricate, machine-carved cave systems or through the cavern entrance, which is guarded by a military fortress on the cavern floor. The majority of the cities' structures are unseen, built into the caverns themselves, with only the most important and affluent able to afford one of the hanging buildings. Each building is imbedded deep into the sturdy bedrock at the top, and the bottom floor is always a dock or air vehicle port for visitors. Most Sigmari Cities are off limits to alien visitors, because Sigmar IV has twice the gravity of most earth-like worlds. Off-worlders are generally restricted to visitor areas (usually the hanging buildings or ports) which have artificial gravity systems to keep them from being crushed under their own weight. Aliens generally only see a few special trade cities, like the pictured. Enjoy, and let me know what you think. Best viewed at full size.

Great colors and building designs! Hanging buildings in 2 gees, that's pretty impressive tech. Sill wouldn't want to walk under them though....
