Description
I took this shot on March 13, 2007. That's just over two weeks from today on the 2010 calendar. But this year, with all our man-made global warming, this scene ain't happening in just two weeks, I guaran-damn-tee it! We're still hitting in the low 20's each night here in Memphis, so I'm assuming that spring may be arriving just a little bit late this year.
But that can be a problem here in Memphis because the flowering trees have to get an early start in their bud development, and when a late season freeze monster comes blasting out of Canada (can't they get anything right?) it will obliterate the flowering tree buds and they'll all end up on the ground unopened! So sad.
But maybe this winter still holds for us a couple more surprises. I happen to believe Memphis still has another major (for us) snow event! So hopefully those flowering tree buds will take their time. I sure as hell hope so. . . . . .

I loved this series of pictures and it is a delicious reminder of what's ahead. Especially with this latest cold snap that dropped snow on my sister in South Carolina yesterday morning. I can't wait! Bring me some springtime, baby! Thanks for the hopeful vision...
