Description
I have been a fan of Andrea, aka durleybeachbum, for about eight months. During that time I have noticed that she seems to be able to make art out of just about anything including fungi, rust, even lint I suppose. I have marveled at her "photographer's eye" and thought I should start paying more attention to my surroundings.
So I was stirring my tea the other day and noticed the reflection of the window blind in the cup. "Hmmm", says I, "I wonder what that would look like in a photo?"
Both this and yesterday's images, with some color and saturation manipulation are the results. I have labeled them "Tea Fractals". It was fun and you will probably be seeing more, and hopefully better, examples as I continue to practice.

Very nice! Andrea is a rich source of inspiration and great at showing new ways of seeing things. I like both tea fractals and look forward to seeing more. I like the tucks and the flow of the lines.

WOW! This does remind me of something edible...a delicious piece of toffee-style candy in those extravagant colors you only find in expensive and exclusive shops. Wonderful work on this. I particularly love the visual texture and the grain; it reminds me of classic food photography in magazines that have since gone a bit faded but retain their glory. There are other associations as well, and that's what I really like about work like this...it sparks associations, impressions, and in this case, a desire for a bit of candy. Great work. I have a lot to catch up on in your gallery and I fully intend to do so...I've seen some gems I must comment on!
