Description

Its just amazing how nature works, it can permanently change, alter or destroy the landscape and everything around it forever. The only memories is either by pictures or what's left locked in our minds. It was massive amounts of a'a lava coming down the Pali and eating away at the forest. Its all pahoehoe at the costal plain now and I'm at the very front end that's headed towards the sea. On the top left patch of forest is Jack Thompson's house (little white dot) and can be seen from a previous post "Lonely Home" . What was a "Friendly Neighborhood" is all lava now. Aloha and thank you for viewing

Not much vegetation left. Great capture, sure the dark surface makes this land looks very hostile and by see that little red corner sure it is.

The POV you took this is great. It pushes my eyes to the horizon and gives it depth. Excellent shot.
