The mind that is not baffled is not employed. The impeded stream is the one that sings." -Wendell Berry (Poet) In simplest terms this image was a real pain in the ass to bring through. It began nearly six months ago. I returned to it many times and gave up on ever finishing it one time less than that. The truth is, if you like this portrait you'll need to thank Charley for being able to see it at all. Without Callad's input and encouragement I would have wiped this work out of my memory along with the cost in hours it wrung from my life. Now that it is complete I have to admit .. it was worth it. Sometimes the creative process is like that .. the ideas and works that give you the hardest time need to be wrestled to the ground and held there until they bless you .. sooner or later, in one way or another, they will. Enjoy the remains of your weekend & bring through something amazing! Terry

She turned out beautifully! The face is so pretty and well lit! I love the color in lighting! Superb work! I know exactly how you feel for there are a few images on hold for now due to frustration! Sometimes the best thing to do is let it go for a bit then come back to it! It works for me!
