Description

... of the species. There is good reason why the elf and dragon kingdoms almost universally choose their female warriors to guard the entrances to their realms. Please view this big image full size! Thank you. This is for Peggy (pearl3d) and Val (Godin) who each gifted me elements of this picture. In order of arrival in my site mail box: I had suggested to Peggy that Aether Hair would do well with one of her texture sets and so she quickly created this set called "Darlin Aether" which should be in RMP soon. I really love the streaked layer options she has created, it gives the hair such depth of color and gives the artist total control over the color combinations. Then, a day later, Val sent me Faylinn, her latest character. She is a delightful dark elf with beautiful sparkle skin and rich leaf tattoo options in addition to many other make up choices. She also has optional deep and mysterious dark elf eyes which I used here in addition to the autumn leaf tattoo. She has a natural rather sombre pout which is perfect for my style of dark work. By great luck, two of Peggy's hair textures, which I was able to combine, were a perfect color compliment to Val's leaf tattoos. Thank you ladies for these wonderful gifts. Edit comment: As mresty says here, and others have pointed out in previous images, I have my character nocking her arrow on the right side rather than the left. All's I can say is that is the way I have always shot my bow and so I have my characters shoot the same way I do. It is excentric I know but that is just me :-) I was a born south paw whose parents made her switch to right hand, but I still do many things left handed or as in this case somewhere in between! P.S. I am sorry that I am behind in comments in your galleries but I will try to catch up in the next few days. Previous

Great image, fantastic work. I too have been an archer for many years, however, I'm ambidexterious and have both right and left hand bows, though I prefer to shoot left handed. As far as the placement of the arrow on the bow, I've found that it has to do more with how the bow was made. I have bows that have the arrow rest on the inside and some with it on the outside realitive to which hand the bow is ment to be held in. So in that aspect, there is no real wrong way. Oh, did I mention this was a great image?

Wow Roxy, this is your best yet. You use of foliage in the foreground, and the play of light and shadow across the grases really makes this render stand out. And that's WITHOUT enlarging. You obviously burned some calories on this one. Kudos.

Fantastic looking character! If I were a mythical creature, I'd want her to guard me, too! As for where you put your arrow, it's easier for me to sight down the shaft when it's on the left side of the bow (right handed shooter), but then again, I'm not very good. Nice work, in any case!

LOL! So this is where the whole arrow on the right/left debate started! Love your posing and lighting, as usual, but the expression on your dragon is just stunning! Again, I am amazed at how you can get such nature scenes out of poser. I have to switch to Vue for scenes like this. Very nice work here!
