My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Great portrait.

Corey...noble expression...a Roman senator perhaps? Excellent postwork to ensure the lighting is just right.

Hey I know this guy. Hi Corey, How've you been. Long time no see. Great portrait Tara.

wonderful lighting on this lovely face

This rocks. Corey does have that Roman senatorial forehead...and modern hair. I remember that day fondly and I'd go back in time to that very day, but I'd prefer to enjoy new ones with the same company (and a few others who couldn't make it) then go for Persian food...or Greek at this new/old place I discovered...and they have belly dancers, though belly dancers aren't Greek...well, I think this one was, but the dance itself is decidedly non-Greek. Anyway...You really did capture Corey on that day and I love the vibrant intensity on his face. Great work, and coincidentally, the last time I saw him, he was considering whether or not to wear that hoodie...funny how that works...orange hoodies in Chicago and green and white striped socks in Prague...I love that odd, loopy continuity. And this is a fantastic portrait.

When I first saw this I asked: Hmm...who is that person...? It's always interesting to see how you look through other people's eyes. Of course, when I see pictures of myself I start the self-critique thing. And it's funny...I look more androgynous here than normal, and I have the sun in my eyes, and maybe it's time to switch conditioners...I have that fly-away look. But aside from that, this a great shot. I had no idea you even took it...you're fast! And I'm ready to move to Seattle ASAP. I'm packing now.

Taken on the best and most memorable day of my summer!! I'm glad he was there, Corey was feeling out of sorts then. That orange hoodie made him the easiest to pick out, as we meandered about. It was indeed a very good day, great portrait!!

Great portrait...have you tried getting everyone together in Seattle...maybe I could make that trip.
