My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Look at all that lovely snow! Beautiful capture! I'm thinking about taking a drive up that way again soon...

Spectacular panorama. Yeah, trucks are good. Hope you had something warm to drink.

Quite a view and you had the best seat!!

A magnificent shot of majestic mountains. I love living in the Northwest where we have beautiful mountains, the ocean, desert areas, rain forests...we have it all, don't we (including earthquakes and volcanoes)!

It is difficult to add beauty to a snow covered mountain range in a sentence or two. Needless to say, the Cascades make a fine subject for a very scenic photograph. I like the way you have framed your mountains using the foreground complete with what we'd call prairie grass here in Kansas:) Nicely done!

There's nothing wrong with enjoying the mountains in comfort! Gorgeous shot.

A wonderful panorama. This looks like avalanche territory, to me. Then again, as a South African, I do not have much experience of these climes! Looks cold! Clive

Splendor! The panorama in full size is awesome.

Snow is so gorgeous, when it is way the heck over there! And this image reminds me of why and where I like snow. I don't have to shovel it or walk through its slushy remains if it's looking pretty up in the mountains. As for this shot, it's beautiful. I love the sense of panoramic scale, the contrasts between the silhouetted plant life and the crisp, clean snow. This is superb and I love the crop.

Dang! That's a lot of snow!! Beautiful composition :)

Oh ta for the bigger size. Gotta love those white peaks. Fabulous narrow crop too what perfectly fit for the subject.

Lovely landscape!!!

Great capture. What a view- especially when you can do it in comfort. The full size is wonderful, the smaller image really doesn't do this shot justice. Beautiful image.
MrsLubner
I'd love to hike here but I'd have to wait until the thaw. Wonderful view.

Great shot tara, but I am disappointed that you forgot the names of the peaks lol!! No wonder we saw an avalanche in May!
