Description

Situated across the street from the Palace built in 960C.E. By the Song Dynasty sits this pagoda which overlooks the bay where the Pearl River Delta is formed. The delta is an estuary whose fish were bred in captivity to create our modern goldfish and Koi, as well as many other tropical fish. The Song Dynasty is also noted for being the first civilization to create and use paper money, and a compass for navigation, as well as gunpowder.
