Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Funny capture.

It was definitely a squirrel in snowshoes! I love this shot. Little dogs always look so enthusiastic when they're romping in snow (or mud). I love the filter work as well, and the shadows stand out perfectly, adding a different sort of linear definition to this. This is quite nice.

Lucky she has dark eyes so she can be seen..looks like she is having a great time in the white stuff....

Lovely shot :)

yeah those would be really big footprints for Mandy...The shot itself has a very sweet and plaintive quality, a real snow-with-shadows shot, especially as the shadows are all angled & sinewy and a beautiful shade of blue. But you've filtered it to make it look softer, with semi-oil strokes (oil paint, that is), or perhaps watercolor texture. It fits perfectly, because a shot like this is kind of a fantasy anyway, since this kind of snow & shadow seems something of a dream; and your filtering brings out that dreaminess all the more. Finally, there's just the fact of your beloved dog in that large expanse of snow, not daunted by it, sauntering home without a concern. The crop makes it look like she owns the shot, even though she's a small part of it. If you don't know whose footprints those are, btw, and that's your land? You might wanna call in the forest service: Either it's a pretty big animal for Kansas, or Mandi's got something goin' she hasn't told anyone yet. (Does she make low fierce noises late at night? Maybe she morphs into a monster when no one's looking.) A delightful shot all around. She seems like a pretty confident dog.

Fine postwork to give Mandy and the snow a painting quality.

A little small for a sled dog. Maybe she could ride though.
