Description

These two friendly ladies were operating a small, stall-like restaurant in the fish market along the waterfront of Angelmo. It was one of dozens of little eating establishments, all numbered and licensed. It is here that one can eat all sorts fresh sea food. I chose Curanto, a specialty of the Lake District Region of Southern Chile. Curanto is a stew of fish, shellfish, chicken, pork, lamb, beef and potato. I also had a side order of milcao bread and a small bottle of red wine. It was a delicious meal and did not cost much. In this part of town (the waterfront fish market) I did not see any tourists. This picture was taken on 26 December 2003. Thank you for viewing, commenting, and favs, Sig...

glad to see chile this way because when i watch tv news i only see devastating grounds and misery. but hey we have to inform hollywood that the cameras have somewhat shifted from haiti to chile so they should go there for the faces to be seen.

You're making my hungry, my friend! Wonderful image. I feel like I'm there, like I could just place an order and the food would be here shortly. Nice work!
