You wouldn't want to eat this one though, To get the glossy skin effect I covered it with silicone lubricant spray.

That's one of the tricks to photographing food... an art in itself. Excellent work.

Wonderful photography! I love the rich and voluptuous colors and the subject matter itself. I went through an apple phase a while back and did all sorts of things with apples that were far from perfect, if you're into the whole "perfect apple" thing...little did I know that the fungus growing on them was deadly to hollowed out and preserved squash (used as filler in the image) but apparently that same fungus is good for the digestive tract. Anyway, I ramble... Wonderful work here, and I'm glad to finally see it. The moodiness of this image is superb, as is the gleaming...um...flavor ingredient(?) you used to bring out the appleness of your subject. This is fantastic work.
