My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.

Tim Allen could explain it better, but for some reason, tech stuff like the locks, boats, whatever, just seems to flip a switch in a guy's mind and, if you don't watch it, he'll start drooling about whatever and will try to build it or buy it or borrow it... Great capture of the pre-drooling stage
bazza
Lovely shots yep they are due to go into raptures shortly, then as Mike said the drooling starts lol!!
cfulton
Okay, now would you believe it if I told you that one of the men is from here in South Africa!? The guy top left is either Derek or a twin! Being a mechanical engineer he would be rapt for sure. Wonderful story on their faces, Clive
helanker
LOL How funny! You are right, they have same expression. How riot :-) Excellent portraits :)

WOW - and reading Clive's comment I cannot help but think how small the world is! I also love Mike's comment that they are all in the pre-drooling stage... hehehe... I cannot put it any better myself! Great for picking it up Tara!! :)
durleybeachbum
Isn't it amazing! In my town they'd be watching a woman reverse a car and offering advice!

MrsRatbag
Yes, you nailed it...to be fair, though, a lot of women get the same look there. There's a lot to see!
bmac62
What a rich visual commentary on boys out looking at toys...in this case, not their toys but anybody's will do:)
frankie96
I only drool for cars and motorcycles..:)
watapki66
Wonderful captures and very intriguing expressions!
beachzz
Yep, this is just great--you caught them in rapture over who knows what? Hardly matters; they're just happy as clams!!
dbrv6
Excellent - indeed great expression on all the different faces.
jocko500
happy happy happy and happy some more. cool shot

I like your idea and what you've captured here! Indeed, you are right; such a keen eye... it is the same sort of expression, as though they are viewing things from the same perspective, and yet we know this is absolutely impossible. I was just speaking to people about point of view, in terms of the way we see things and analyze them, and how very different we seem to see the same "events" occurring, yet through very different windows or lenses. Very creative, and superb lighting!
hipps13
this is cool warm hugs, Linda Kaye

Now you pointed out, yes they probably go through the same thinking or feeling. great shots.

LOL...You kind of wonder whats on their mind... Interesting capture. Aloha
lucindawind
great captures!!!

I would have thought they were admiring a beautiful photographer and just overcome! Great job
moochagoo
Ah, ah, very funny.

Funny how guys get the same look...it must be a "Boys with Toys" thing...rather like they're saying: "Will ya lookit that! How much does somethin' like that go for these days?" Or: "Lookit those lines...that's one sexy piece of mechanical engineering." What you've captured is North American Male Expression #38. I love the light in both of these shots and the way you establish a sense of mystery by actually focusing on them rather than pulling back and showing what they're looking at. It's a bit like writing in third person...you see the characters but know only what they know, or less than they know until your perspective slides into synch with theirs. That is a wonderful photographic effect and something I'd love to explore for myself, especially since I want more random people shots! Great work!

I agree with Chicka, probably about #38 or #39...great idea for us at Renderosity to look at...thanks
