Description

(Bug Comic) While Rain ties up some loose ends on Pearl Street (The Bite), Bryan heard all the alarming noises on the other side of the wall--a sound like a stick breaking, and then a louder bang and a hiss, and someone quoting ..poetry? in a heavy country accent.Bryan has no clue what is going on behind the wall, but on his side it looks like the cops are here. A woman in a print dress has come out of the house, holding a towel and asking Professor Shinka: "Are we having a party? The front room is full of cops." Which was Carmela's way of asking if Shinka's more exotic treats were put away, and why there was a young man bobbing around the pool with one of her plants. (Bryan did try to save it). If you asked Shinka about Carmela, he'd say she was his housekeeper, and I suppose you could call her that--she gets a salary and occasionally does empty a vacbot's canister. She also doesn't allow him to smoke in the house, or be late for appointments. She's been his "housekeeper" for over 20 years. _______________ And just for Artistheat, I *found* the barbeque--it's the sink from Mapps and Richardphoto's Morgue, with the grill being some zombie-holding tray. I just squeezed the sink a little and added a hood. I think Carmela had someone clean it over the grass, instead of the flagstones;) THe Mapps and Richardphotos sets in here include the Morgue, Walls Abound for the roof, Atlantis for the door and curtain, and the Sexy Swimming pool, which I hadn't rummaged around in before but which is just beautiful--the promos don't let you see the details of the modelling and texturing! Head morphs are all mine;)

LOL I love the policeman glaring out the window! And the Professor just calmly finishes his shrimp while chaos is all about. This just shows what a sweetie Bryan is. He's trying to save the little plant. Outstanding work!

now this is interesting information. neither Shinka nor Carmela look old enough to have been consenting adults 20 years ago. visually, this is a very complex scene. it took me more than one look to notice the policeman. the blend of colors and shapes really intrigues me. the highly geometric area to the right really contrasts with the more organic pattern to the wall (natural rock?). is Bryan looking at the plant? he kind of looks like he's looking at us. as always, great job on the water. the reflection on the tile and the wear on the metal of the pool-thingy are a nice touch. the towel is just brilliant.

Humm, did she start being his housekeeped at age 8? Strange labor laws here, because if she's a day over 30.... well, I'll just let it go at that. Alwys love to read these well-written, well-paced stories and your art is always so masterful. The way you handle water and wet clothes is especially noteworthy.
