Description

I wanted to re-design my website with a strong Poser aspect.... I was aiming for a dark, and somehow "techno" feel. I'm working with this character to try and meet those requirements, she's going to be a background for the pages, in various "poses". (If that's not very clear - as I suspect :) - go to: http://www.geocities.com/veefsplaymate/ where I'm developing the site.... There's not much there yet, except the look & feel). Any comments, suggestions etc. gratefully received as always. Credits: Character is called "Bladewoman" by Wyrmmaster. The wings are Specs2's Mechanical Wings. The Banner is by kelc. Texture by ShredBoy, modified by me, and with April (of AprilsVanity.com) April Faerie's Body Tattoo applied. Light Set is Poser's Red & Blue (or similar), darkened a bit, and re-positioned ever-so slightly...

I love the look and feel of your website. Your Techno Faerie looks wonderful. She's definitely very alluring there in the back ground of the pages. I love the cool menu bar on your site! I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before. I'd love to know how you did that.

I think it is more a gothic sci fi than "techno" -- techno I associate with more glowy things, neon green and purple light sticks. This looks good :) The whole pic looks a tiny bit dull at the moment, ie there's not enough contrast to pick out items of interest. Try using some reflect maps on the wings or the armor to make them look metallic? The reflect maps from rdna would be great. I guess you would get to those details soon enough though :) Have fun! (Thanks for the mention even if my freebie was a minor part! :) )

Tecno-Gothic maybe? ;] Kind of splitting the difference between yours and April's imprssions? Nice work. I like that character by Wyrmmaster - it's still one of my favorite posette characters. One note you might consider... Allieurah [sp?] and Confucious both have transmapped versions of that long curls hair, and the transmapping makes a difference. The transmaps from either of those work on the bladewoman hair. No idea where to find those two packs now though. Confucious' may still be here in freestuff in hair props. Good work.

Thanx IronBear. The hair is an issue, I know. I was doing my work on my screen in the office, which for some reason is very dark, even with the brightness pushed up to 100. As a result, I can barely see her hair, so the render looked quite good. I opened it up on my machine at home this weekend tho (flat screen, which I think makes a difference) and you're right, the hair looks very solid. So I'm planning on using one of Kazaburo(?)'s props, which I always find are great, although they lack the curls. I'll have a look for the transmaps for these long curls now....
