This is a tribute to my beautiful wife who died unexpectedly not long after we were married. You were my sunshine, the light of my life Always close by, to steer me from strife I was never scared, when life would get tough Hearing the sound of your voice was enough Your love gave me a strength I'd never known before And day after day you gave more and more We've both cried our tears, of laughter and of sorrow but no matter what happened there was always tomorrow From that first smile in the morning to the last cuddle at night Just being together meant everything was alright When we sat up all night, til the rise of the birds We could do it in silence and still say a million words The love that you gave was shared by others too you touched the hearts of everyone that you knew You gave so much and never wanted in return no questions, no contracts and never on terms Now that you're away, and resting in peace Know the love that we shared will never cease And as we progress through the dark days ahead We'll find strength from our memories of happy times instead.
