Description
The new bridge in Venice, by Calatrava. It was designed to be semitransaparent, with glass steps, but it seems that people kept slipping and falling, so the glass is still there but bumpy to make it non slippery, and opaque, so it doesn't make much sense. They also had problems with the foundation blocks, they were pushed apart by the stress of the bridge, the soil in Venice is muddy clay. So things now seem to work, and I sort of like the thing ...
