I know what these are, just by looking at them, but I noticed that if I look at them from back to front, rather than as Vespas, they look like something else that I've never seen before. I think it's because of those little cargo pod thingies on back, and the smooth contours that they have. They look like strange insect robots or something deliciously futuristic and curvy. The fact that they're such a clean white adds to the futurism in a sort of retro way: but then maybe I've just read too much science fiction in which everything was described as clean, almost searing white, in that sort of Buck Rogers way. At any rate, you've captured a wonderful intensity in this photograph and I love the composition, and the way that my eye wanders from right to left, rather than the more normal-for-me left to right. The colors are what make it happen for me and I love the fact that something that simple can have so profound an effect. This is a great shot. And yeah and I can see myself on one of these, zooming from one photo op to another near the beach!
