Description

Look at the number of ink stains on the pier. The water was so clear you could see them approaching your jig! I have included 2 shots of the Calamari themselves. This is what I saw! They are not the clearest shots ever but in my defense I was shooting through 10 feet of sea water! The bottom photo shows a group of them with their babies. Some of them were tiny. More photos to come....after I start cooking my Salt and Pepper Squid!!!! Hehe. NOTE. My friends and I ALWAYS release anything that we don't aim to eat THAT SAME NIGHT. We NEVER freeze anything. That's out little rule so we never take too much. I cooked 3 Calamari for my dinner and so thats all I took from the sea.

I actually love the taste of squid, but I feel pangs of guilt whenever I eat them. They are cute after all...but since when the mushy sentiment ever interfere with my stomach! These are great shots and the smaller, largely blue captures are nicely cryptic. You actually have to pause and look and spend time with these images and that's what art is all about in my book. This is great work, a wonderful trio of images.
