She did not see the reflection of a woman with an old, wrinkled face. Instead she saw the memories of the past, although hiding from the shadows of time, they're still loud and clear in her mind. Her children now grown, seven grandchildren, the man she shared those fruitful years with, passed away a decade ago... all she has now are the lingering thoughts of yesteryears, to look back and wait when her time comes. She knew there will be more time to share with her family, more hugs to give to her grandchildren and plenty of moments to enjoy. Although her neck doesn't show much wrinkles, it's still an amazing texture. This is a tribute to my mom, her birthday this month. When my dad passed away years ago, she bravely faced her fears and sacrificed a lot for us. A wonderful woman, a great friend and adviser and always there to lend a helping hand with her words of wisdom. You may zoom in for details. Aren't mums something just so wonderful, Jenny? Sacrifice is what they do, and you will never know it or realise it and they will never talk about it, because they don't want you to know it. They are selfless and loving and deep-down inside, there is still that girl with all her ideals and dreams and THAT is who you hug when you give her a hug... Thank you for your generous gift, Jenny... you are paying homage to your mum so beautifully... in giving, as she did.
