Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Excellent documentation of the power of the ocean. Beautiful color and clarity. I like your use of the top picture as a background.

No more wild parties in that barn. Hate to see it fall. Excellent shot. Aloha

Its a sentimental moment to see nature and time are working a human`s place over. Looks dangerous in the moment. Waiting for the last wave? Thanks for sharing and goodbye for today!

Great to get a full sense of the scale of the place and the problems it has. Super pics.

Excellent shots; yes, it seems it won't be there for very much longer!

I love how things come and go along a beach. There are a few inlets around Ft. Bragg that have gone from joined to the ocean to being completed cut off but I bet with time, they will open up again. Great shots.

Excellent photojournalistic collage. I am going to feel quite sad when the day comes when this old barn is laying flat on the sand.

It's so interesting to see the land reclaimed by the sea. Great shots!
