My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Wow, your shots of these came out so much better than mine did; great definition on that lovely honeycomb pattern! Well done!!

Really great POV! The clarity is indeed beautiful, and the most interesting form of plant species! Exceptional capture!

In a Christmas idea book a few years back I saw directions for making a Christmas Wreath out of teazle. I thought to myself, "think I'll pass on this idea". I wonder if the person writing the directions had ever tried to work with the sutff. You sure did get a good picture of it though, and it is pretty.

OH Tara, I find this shot very beautiful with wonderful colors and clarity. I Once picked a whole bunch of these dry teazles. We used them in Decorations. Need I say I used garden gloves and shears. I found them on a hill not far away from hear :-)

Really beautiful!Stunning the gold colour against the dakk colours in background. The effect of the diagonals in your image is superb!

I foolishly grew a few in my garden, and am in danger of being taken over! Superb pic!

I like the apparent lighting helped along by adding your flash to this daylight photograph. It appears to have lit up the near target...the inside of the teazels and at the same time darkened the non-descript background. Great use of your flash to add a bit of drama to what otherwise could have been a drab shot. Well done.

Oh yes - perfect light! I actually thought it was late afternoon African light... LOL... Fantastic clarity and a very pleasing image of a rather prickly subject!!! :))
