Description

welcome and thank you for viewing my work. a double thanks to those who take the time to comment. sorry i haven't been commenting as much as usual, but i'm busy attending a conference. i have been seeing a lot of wonderful work, and want to take the time to really give each piece the feedback it deserves. this work is almost my most recent. say from a week or more ago. i wanted to figure out how to make something gathered as dynamic cloth. this seems to work fairly well. the left was a botched job, if an OK methodology, and the right came out fairly decently i think. i haven't tested in Poser yet. let me know if you have any ideas about a top that could go with it that _doesn't_ fit under the band. at least for now. i think that if i _did_ do a shirt that tucked in, i'd have to make the whole thing one piece. the experiments i'm doing now involve finding a better way to make masks, hoods, and pleats. i'm not really successful at any of those yet, but i'm working on it!

I have an old Maveris top I'd put with that skirt--it's kind of a crop top thing, with cutouts..or the short corset I just rendered--almost anything snug and short would look super with those very realistic pleats! The setting for that cloth is pretty nifty--very soft, lots of collision detection. Your modelling work is outstanding! May the conference be fun and useful for you!

Your skirt looks fine and those at your conference must be wispering I wish she'd shut off her computer... I hope I'm not bothering you at your conference, I'll have to comment later = lol

That is incredible, CD... I am so ready to see how you did this! In Blender? The skirt looks quite remarkable in that if it drapes so nicely in Blender, it looks like it will even conform well in Poser. Would be interesting to try!
