The lines from wires, antenna, light poles, fences and the buildings themselves all catch the eye and makes this a visual treat. Contrasting colors are the frosting on the cake:)

do you know how hard it is to choose 3 or 4 shots of yours, when I have other galleries I haven't yet visited? The choices aren't because one is better than the other (I am entranced to the core by Moonlight, for example, its textures alone make me gape), but just because I can only pick a representation. I chose this because I've dealt with late afternoon light, both in painting and now in photography. This looks strangely Midwestern---the kind of light one sees on a summer day, right before a late day storm. Your sky-hue is eerie, thick & ominous. And the light on the buildings has that flat overloaded saturation that makes one drowsy after looking at it for a while. (Late day flat hues make one want to sleep, for all their vividness.) Yet, for all the image's simplicity---a slate sky, a slab of dark blue, green, and yellow---you've balanced it with all those wires, rods, railings and antennae. You do this with great ease, no doubt. It's a single gesture, and it's masterful. Your gallery is a school for me, for things I have yet to try but want to. And since I come from a huge industrial city, shots like this tell me to get out there and start seeing. Beautifully done. Until next time---which will be sooner if I come back sooner---it's more of a pleasure than you know to come here. Beautiful work as always. I wish you a wonderful spring, Nikolay!
