Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

This pier looks in a lot better shape than your old beach barn:) Like the way the light is shining from behind the pier...

Those white things are obviously to cushion the blow when boats moor. It is never anything flasher than old car tires around here!

I hope you got a rope tied around your waist while leaning over taking this shot? Impressive shot and love the lighting. Aloha

It looks rather an upmarket sort of pier! I trust you were on a sticky-outy bit to get this shot.

I'll be here in just another week. Ummm, well, it may not look the same since Ike, but this is where I grew up - well, just a couple miles up the road. :-) Wonderfully moody shot.
