Description
hello and welcome to all! thanks so much for taking the time to look at my work. and an even more heartfelt thanks to those who take the time to comment!
i've been just resting today (and striking a blow back at a cold), so i thought i'd try to keep posting and also catch up on the comments i'm _so_ behind on. this is the result of someone posting a beautiful image using one of the many beautiful ballet outfits for V4 and M4 in a some strange clothing. iirc, it was a wrestling outfit. the artist said there were _no_ male ballet outfits. i realized that in all my years of using Poser, i couldn't remember any at all, either free or commercial. i poked around, and it does seem the number is zero.
so i looked for some references of outfits that seemed practical for me to make, and took a whirl at it. this is my first attempt. i definitely plan to get better, especially at the shirt. i have some good references for the shoes/slippers, and some interesting shoe sewing instructions, but they'll still be the most difficult aspect. i started this a several months ago, and stopped at the the slippers, daunted. now i have some new ideas about shirts, collars and a better attitude towards the slippers.
i'm still not sure whether or not to make this a commercial set. like everything i make, it would be dynamic, but i'm seeing more and more dynamic clothes for sale and feeling more and more like i need to get stuff out there.
oh, and because it (and the speedos i recently posted) are dynamic, they both have what i'm calling a "manly" cup made for them. they're made to match my references. i know this one looks especially well-endowed (my boyfriend said, "He looks realistic, but very, very proud."), but that's due largely to something called a "dance belt" that men have to wear for protection and movement control. i had a bunch of dance references before this, and i got a lot more for this. it's as accurate as i can make it at this time.
if anyone has any opinions, or requests, please let me know. if you know anyone who'd be interested in this sort of outfit, please have them comment or message me or whatever. since i can't post this to the main forum (neither freebie nor commercial products allowed), i have to rely on the gallery and word of mouth.

I like it a lot, I imagine that it moves well, too. This one I can see as a SF outfit as well, so it can do double duty;) He is quite manly, though--for my own aesthetic I'd smooth him a little flatter so he isn't quite so attention-grabbing, though I do see some photos where the pants do look this way (I have that Dance Inc. book that was on sale a while back at Band N--good refs.)

That is a very elegant, tasteful outfit. The shirt looks exceptionally will-made, with edges (hems?) and the cummerbund-like belt finishes the garment nicely. This is really quite good, CD... not into animation, but I can appreciate the shirt would lend itself well to that also. I'm sure this outfit will address a complete void in male dance outfits well: there is sound attention to detail which makes this a very attractive item!

Modelling? Wow! :) I don't know much about modelling, even less about ballet - but I really like this shirt and its sleeves (especially since it's dynamic). Whole outfit seems to have a lot of potential - with a bit of texturing, boots and some props people could also turn it into fantasy or peasant outfit.
